Fostering should be fun, and it is, if you are prepared and set up for success. Submit an application to start the process. Our team will reach out to you in 1-2 days & set up a call to chat about the in's and outs of becoming a foster HERO!
Steps to Fostering
The GBP RESCUE MISSION is built on the foundation of our STRONG foster program. Everything we do from start to finish has to do with our fosters. From the Good Samaritan rescuers down south, to the incredible generous human beings who open up their homes on the northern end, to provide safe comfortable places for well deserving dogs. Dogs who were lucky enough to be handed a second chance. Fostering is fun! That is our motto here at GBP. We provide the supplies, support & awesome dogs, you provide the LOVE and a temporary place for them to stay. We are a co-founder run rescue. From day one we will give you all kinds of tips and tricks, and talk you through every situation with your foster. Before you know it you will be a pro! And don’t worry, if a dog is not fitting into your home, or fostering is not for you that’s OK, we can always transfer the dog to a more suitable home, Although our goal is to teach you how to be a successful foster, A FOSTER HERO. Whether you foster for months at a time, or you are a temporary interim foster home, we have a space for you here, if you are willing.
Step 1: Submit an Application.
Step 2: Let your vet’s office know we will be calling them.
Step 3: We call your references (personal, housing, and vet).
Step 4: Informative phone call with a foster coordinator.
Step 5: Home check.
Step 6: Approval complete!

The first step in our foster process is filling out an application. Once received, we will reach out to you within 48 hours, and set up a call. We will check your references, and do a FaceTime home visit and get you approved and ready to take in your first foster!
